Techno Series

Techno273 (125L) - $1195

The Techno 283 has shown that the new generation of wide style boards work. A board that could plane in the lightest of wind and be very fast. Its success definitively placed the Techno 283 "board of the year for 99". Bic Sport presents its smaller sister, the new Techno 273, which achieves another ambitious objective : be accessible, plane early and provide top performances from 5,5 m2 sail and 8 m2 sail sizes. In one word, "Control" - keep the wind under control and replace your freeride quiver with a single unique board.

New shape concept
Never before has a board shown such high performance with such a large range of sails ( 5,5 to 8 m2 ) and on such a reduced length. With 2,73 m length and 125 litres of volume, the Techno 273 is able to plane in as little as 11 knots of wind and stay perfectly controllable and well balanced in 30 knots of wind. Its new generation shape designed by Fabien Vollenweider allows this performance. It takes similar design aspects which brought the success of the 283 with dimensions more adapted to medium wind and to choppier conditions.

Short length = highly response, easy jibes and easy storage
High volume = accessibility, safety
Moderately large rear section = planing ability/control in high wind, upwind speed
Deep V = ride stability, smooth ride over chop and easy jibes
High degree of forward rocker = minimum contact area, acceleration, top end speed
Several footstraps positions : to fit to all ability levels.

Techno283 (152L) - $1195

Inspired of the most modern large tail course racing boards, the Techno 283 is very accessible and planes without efforts in the lightest of winds. It also keeps easily its speed in the lulls because of its large back section and its race scoop. Its deep V hull shape provides good stability at high speed and a confortable ride even on the chop in spite of its large width. Its back rails are thinner than on a race board and its scoop is more curved. So jibes are easier to go through than on a large pure course race board. Pleasure in the lightest of wind has never been so high.

Techno 293 (205L) - $1195

The Universal Funboard
This Techno 293 is dedicated to all those who want to learn windsurfing and funboard but also go fast in very light winds. More stable than a big longboard, faster than the best free ride board, the Techno 293 is very innovative and unbeatable for the planing.

Great stability and high performances
The Techno 298 is 80 cm wide and more stable than all big boards "for beginners". The 205 liters of volume give it a great stability and buoyancy but you quickly forget them with speed....

And like all Techno's, the 293 goes very fast.

A 100% ACCESSIBLE BOARD
THE TWIN FIN : two high performances 28cm fins are as fast as a unique 50cm. Benefits : increased maneuverability and a more stable position for a minimum loss in the upwind. It also allows an easier beach start.

W HULL
This original shape places a V under each fin. It provides a better lateral and directional stability, higher comfort in choppy conditions and tolerance in the gybes.

REMOVABLE CENTRAL FIN

Easy to clip, it is especially dedicated to the beginners who need a drift.

EASY PLANING AND GYBES
Its wide rear and the central V generates an important lift which improves the planing. The round rear, the W hull and the big volume make gybes easier and help you progress very fast.

COMING BACK EASILY WHEN THE WIND DROPS
The Techno 293 has three major advantages in those conditions : its exceptional volume (205 liters), very thick and vertical rails at the mast foot which hook the water in the upwind, and the central removable fin as efficient as a daggerboard.

Weight - 10,9 kg
