In the 10 Years that Ken's been building kites, he can't remember a design that's surprised him as much as the Mamba. What he set out to build was a hard-core precision kite. Medium speed, wide wind range, big window. What he hadn't planned on was the freestyle capabilities the Mamba has shown him! While it will cut a precision figure with the best of them, not many kites will transition from square cuts into a fruit roll-up or 540 without missing a beat.
Here are some colorizer musings to get you started if you wish:

Based on a design model of three dimensional sail shaping Ken pioneered several years ago, the Mojo takes the technology to the next level. The Mojo was developed as a solo or aggressive pairs kite. The speed is medium fast and the pull is medium strong.
One of the things that surprises people about the Mojo is how little wind the standard model needs to fly well. This is due in great part to the use of a sailmaker's technique called broadseaming. Broadseaming is the painstaking process of adding shape to an otherwise flat piece of fabric. It's more expensive to build kites this way because they demand to be built one at a time, not in large batches. In my experience, shaped sails, like the Mojo's fly "smoother". The power is more fluid, and almost always on, even coming out of a turn.
The Mojo's frame is a mix of SkyShark tubes selected to provide the best blend of flex, stiffness, weight and durability. For '01, Ken has done a slight sail re-cut to give the kite a little more "attitude". He has also reworked the bridle to improve slack line handling.
