About the World Famous BUFFALO BOX KITES!

for fantastic flights every time! "Boxes" can be easily joined
together to create a fascinating sculpture that flies as great as
it looks. This combination of sturdy construction and
eyecatching beauty makes any size Buffalo Box Kite a flying
delight! Over 21,000 of these kites have been sold worldwide.

These photo's are from the first World Record Attempt, in Lakes Entrance, South Australia! 101 Box kites, in Australia's green and yellow national colors! It was November, 1995

We were quite excited about a call we received at 6:45 this
morning from Australia. An ecstatic Richard Dutton called to
tell us that he was successful in his record-breaking attempt
at the "Most Box Kites Flown in a Train" at the World Cup.
The two foot box kites, made by the "Buffalo Kite Company",
were each custom made; green and yellow
(Australia's national colors); and silk-screened with the
festival logo. The train of 101 kites was lofted and hung
rock-steady against the Australian sky. Each kite was
individually numbered and later meticulously signed by each
of his team captains. The roster read like a Who's-Who of
veteran kitefliers: Corey Jensen, Michael Alvares, Dan Buxton,
Dick Hargrave (great-great grandson of Sir Lawrence
Hargrave)... to name just a few.
Anyways, Richard's train of box kites was assembled indoors
in a mall and was walked in procession to the flying field,
along with a police escort stopping traffic along the way.
After a flawless launch, it hung in the sky for over fifteen
minutes as the crowd cheered, cameras clicked and video
cameras taped. As an impromtu finale, the train was fashioned
into a 300' arch, much to the chagrin of those who claimed an
arch of box kites could never fly!
Congratulations Richard, we never doubted you....

May the winds be always at your back, /^\

This is 111 Box Kites, on a single line, flown as an arch! They said it couldn't be done, but we did it!
This was our second World Record, set at Wildwood New Jersey, May 1996.
