These were taken (by Joan) on Saturday afternoon of the Tee Box (our provisional kite hanger and shady retreat) and some of the featured kites during the kite feature presentation:

Joan got a shot of the back side of the Forever Flying Tent before heading out to the field to get some pictures of the balloons:
Toward evening (around 6:30pm) the balloons did a tether (it was still too windy to fly) and Alyssa Donahoo (3yrs old) got her first ride!
The loud, fiery burner frightened her at first...
...but eventually she relaxed enough to take a peek over the edge of the basket
(Hey Mommy! Where's the ground?!!!)
Then as evening closed in on Saturday the balloons started their breath-taking, tethered glow exhibition:
